The Maranatha House
The Maranatha House has four goals. The immediate goal is to have a Sober Living Environment, which will give the needed opportunity to those who are in recovery, from either drugs or alcohol, to help be reintegrated back into society to be positive members of the community. In the future, we plan to establish a Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center and an Inpatient Detox Clinic.
The final goal of The Maranatha House will be to provide a Homeless Shelter to assist Oroville with the rising number of people who are suffering from homelessness.
The main goal for The Maranatha House is to introduce those who are suffering from drug or alcohol addictions to Jesus, and to His rehabilitating and restoring power.
As of right now, we need volunteers, financial contributions, and much prayer as we start the first phase of The Maranatha House. For volunteers, Pray! For financial contributions, Pray! For The Maranatha House itself, Pray!

Gospel Workers
One of the facets of The Oak ministry is being a facilitator for Gospel Workers and churches, and thus part of our mission is to connect Gospel Workers with churches. The Oak acts as a type of broker for Gospel Workers: we find churches wanting a Gospel worker for their area and we find Gospel Workers looking to serve, and we connect them. Not only do we connect them, we stay connected with the Gospel Workers through bi-monthly Gospel Worker meetings focused on encouraging the Gospel Worker and the work they are doing. We also require the Gospel Workers to submit to the local church as well as to The Oak a “Gospel Worker monthly report,” thus encouraging the work as well as providing accountability.
We partner with individual churches to accomplish the united goal of winning souls for Christ. We have a burden and a desire to see the Seventh-day Adventist churches of North America become thriving centers of evangelism. We believe that teaching the beliefs of the Seventh-day Adventist church along with the understanding of Christ and His Righteousness will enable churches to become thriving centers of evangelism, and thus the work can be finished and we can all go home. We partner with individual churches who can financially support a Gospel Worker in their area. We also believe that "it's time to go home" and thus through generous donations, we have a desired goal of being able to place Gospel Workers in churches or areas that are not able to financially support a Gospel Worker to help finish the work and hasten our Lord's return.
A Gospel Worker position isn't a money maker position, it is not for the faint of heart, it is not a savings plan; it is a way of life. A Gospel Worker position is set up so that an individual who wants to do Gospel Work can do full time ministry without any worries of finances.
If you are interested in being a Gospel Worker or if you are a church looking for a Gospel Worker, please fill out the appropriate online application and one of the members of our ministry will contact you.

Revival Weekend
(Fire Starter weekend)
This is a weekend event that is aimed to revive and encourage church members to do outreach and to step out of their comfort zones. Throughout the weekend, Five speakers share their personal testimonies of how the Lord saved them, changed their lives, and brought them to know the "most precious message" which was given to the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
While the Emphasis is on outreach, the weekend is aimed to light a fire under the church pews, and to encourage the members to be a ready people, fully equipped “in season and out of season” to do the Lord's work to hasten His coming.
We will be happy to provide a Revival Weekend at your church free of charge. The church will need to cover transportation cost, lodging, food and any outreach or advertising materials.

"Our little church in Magalia had a pleasant surprise with our "Firestarter" weekend, starting with Friday evening songs and testimony that was very inspiring and uplifting. Then we enjoyed more life-changing testimonies for Sabbath School and Church.
In the afternoon, after potluck lunch, we enjoyed more singing, with some outreach training. Then for a couple of hours about 20 people divided up into groups and covered visiting shut-ins, and door to door contact with giving out our Creation Health invitations, and also giving out "Noah" and "Exodus" books to those who were interested.
Then we came back to the church for some hot soup and delicious cornbread. For vespers, we shared our experiences from going door-to-door, more singing, and one more testimony to close the Sabbath. It was a very rich, inspiring week-end to see how the Lord has changes the lives of those who shared with us. It was truly more than we ever expected to receive. We want to have more experiences like this in our church. We look forward to more times shared by the Oak is in the Acorn in the future.

“The Oak is in the Acorn ministry conducted a revival series at the Brownsville SDA Church in April 2015. The event focused on how to give Bible studies, how to rekindle the spiritual fire in the church, and covered principles of gospel work by sharing testimonies.
The church was encouraged of the importance of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and sharing the good news with this lost world. There was even a 2 hour sessions where the members went door to door, putting into practice the principles learned during the seminar. Our youth was inspired to make a personal commitment to God and become missionaries for Him.
If your church needs to be spiritually rekindled, I would recommend that you contact the Oak and have them
conduct this seminar at your church.”

“My wife and I were blessed tremendously by participating in the "fire-starter" weekend held in Oroville last December. The live, vibrant testimonies were encouraging and "real" in a way that relate to our life challenges and struggles. The afternoon outreach and training allowed opportunity to put into practice Christ's way of reaching people for a His kingdom. The Saturday evening fellowship snack brought a fitting culmination to a high weekend focused on Jesus becoming the center of our lives and the focus of our witness. May God continue to bless this special weekend in starting or restarting His FIRE in our lives.”

3 month Church Revival program
(TRAILblazer program)
TRAIL is an acronym for Teaching Real Adventism In Lifestyle, and we believe that this program will play a part in giving the Last message of God’s love to a perishing world. The purpose of the TRAILblazer program is to aid a church in the orchestration of an active and fruitful cycle of evangelism.
The program will begin with a Fire-starter weekend which consists of a team of Gospel Workers that will lead out a revival weekend and the program will finish with a mini evangelistic series. Three months prior to the evangelistic series two Gospel workers will be doing Bible work evangelism, literature evangelism, health evangelism, and planning, developing, and implementing cutting edge strategies to win souls to Christ's kingdom.
Twice a week the Gospel Workers will share inspiring talks in regards to the Adventist faith, and they will actively be doing ministry side by side with the church members to get the church members on fire to encourage the church to be a thriving center of evangelism.

“There should be a well organized plan for the employment of workers to go into all our churches, large and small, to instruct the members how to labor for the up-building of the church, and also for unbelievers. It is training, education, that is needed. Those who labor in visiting the churches should give the brethren and sisters instruction in practical methods of doing missionary work.”
